Clean Energy & Renewables

From clean-tech build-outs, solar mega-projects to on and offshore wind farm projects, the global renewables sector is filled with opportunity. For those investing, it’s a space primed for growth, with success depending on the ability to manage rapidly advancing technologies, increasing regulatory demands, feed-in tariffs and offtake risk.

In this market where innovation is key, we support financiers, developers and retailers to get creative.

With expertise in environmental markets, including renewable energy certificates and carbon credits, we can assist with project development, monitoring, verification and reporting, trading in international and Australian carbon credits and compliance with emerging standards.

Our team will work with you on every aspect of your clean energy or renewables project including:

  • Project development
  • Project finance solutions
  • Acquiring and divesting energy assets
  • Negotiating project agreements
  • Land options and leases, including rental and revenue-sharing arrangements
  • State development and environmental approvals

  • CEFC:advised the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) in relation to the financing of Phase 3 of South Australia’s Virtual Power Plant (SA VPP), a network of solar and Tesla Powerwall home battery systems across the state that will form the world’s largest virtual power plant when fully developed.
  • Infigen:advising on its agreement with TransGrid to dispatch the Wallgrove Grid Battery, a 50MW/75MWh battery energy storage system powered by Tesla’s recently introduced Megapack battery technology.
