Work experience
Mr. Handel Lee is a member of King & Wood Mallesons' Management Committee. Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons, Mr. Lee was the Managing Partner of one US law firm’s China Practice and Chief Representative of another US law firm's Beijing office.
Mr. Lee obtained his BA (with distinction) from the University of Virginia and his JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1989.
Mr. Lee is a member of Board of Visitors of Georgetown University Law Center, member of Lincoln Center China Advisory Council, member of Board of Directors of Soong Ching Ling Foundation / Pearl S. Buck Charitable Foundation China. Mr. Lee is also a member of the Committee of 100 and was granted Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award by the Mont Blanc Foundation Patron in 2006.
