Mr. Liu Bo specializes in PRC tax advisory services and tax dispute resolution.
Mr. Liu’s practice focuses on providing consultancy for China taxes, including the consultancy for M&A deals, tax matters of cross-border investments and transactions, tax and financial issues of real property and infrastructural investments, tax planning for non-resident enterprises and individuals, tax issues arising with various financial products, etc. In particular, He is familiar with tax practice of cross-border investment structures and restructuring schemes, and has provided tax advice and innovative tax planning for various clients including MNCs, state-owned companies, New Economy enterprises and HNWIs, etc., with wide industry range.
Mr. Liu also has extensive experience in tax compliance investigation and management. He has assisted various clients in reviewing the major tax matters of the target company, identifying and quantifying tax risks, and providing solutions and advice with the view of tax compliance and optimization.
Mr. Liu has successfully represented clients on various tax disputes resolution projects to achieve favorable tax treatments or outcome, including the cases of tax audit defense, individual income tax investigation, transfer pricing investigation, tax-related criminal investigation and tax administrative appeal, etc.
Mr. Liu has been named as one of the “highly recommended lawyers” in the field of tax in China by Legal 500. He has also been selected as being Who's Who Legal China’s leading business lawyers for Corporate Tax.
Mr. Liu joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2009.
Mr. Liu received his LL.M. degree from Peking University. He is admitted to practice law in China.
