Roberto Pomares

Roberto specialises in national and international corporate transactions. He has advised on all types of corporate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, venture capital investments and divestments, transactions in secondary markets (takeovers and IPOs) and corporate restructurings.

He has been involved in several transactions in the energy sector, especially in renewable energy, oil and gas.

Recent transactions including advising:

  • EDP-Energias de Portugal in the sale to Enagas of its gas transport subsidiary in Spain operated by Naturgás Energía Transporte
  • RREEF Pan-European Infrastructure Fund LP in several investments in the energy sector in Spain, including the acquisition of: a 49% stake in a Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project of 50MW, located in the Andalucía region, 25% and 30% stake respectively in the LNG re-gasification plants Bahía de Bizkaia Gas, S.L., (BBG) and Planta Regasificadora de Sagunto, S.A. (SAGGAS), and 49% stake in five wind farms in Castilla-La Mancha with a capacity of 200MW
  • Naturgas Energia, Spanish subsidiary of EDP Group in the purchase of several gas distribution assets
  • IPO and listing (in Eurolist by Euronext Lisbon) of the Spanish renewable energy company , EDP Renováveis, the largest IPO completed in Europe in 2008.
