Yasutaka Keno


Areas of Practice

Mr. Keno practices primarily in the field of litigation in civil and commercial areas. He has assisted both domestic and international clients in dispute resolution both inside and outside of the court.  He has experience of working as court appointed bankruptcy trustees, an outside statutory auditor, supervisor of game software, as well as proceedings of domestic, criminal, juvenile.

Regarding litigation, He has experienced the representative case of the Product Liability Law, and the trial case at the Japan Fair Trade Commission, and the maritime arbitration cases at The Japan Shipping Exchange. 

In the bankruptcy law area, He served as debtor’s representative of hospital, golf course management company and golf club maker in the Civil Rehabilitation cases. In addition, He devised a scheme to sell the golf course to the domestic major trading company as a site for photovoltaic power generation business.

Work Experience

Mr. Keno joined King & Wood Mallesons Tokyo office in 2016.  Prior to that, he worked at Miyake & Yamazaki upon a registration at Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association in 1994.  He became a partner of Miyake & Yamazaki in 2002.

He received Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees from Keio University Law School (majored in Japanese Civil Procedure). 

He has been working as an outside statutory auditor of Seika Corporation since July 2015.

His working language is Japanese.
