KWM releases KWM INSIGHTS: Cybersecurity, Data Compliance and Governance in Digital Society

Data security and compliance is a primary concern for enterprises operating in the digital economy. Failure to ensure data security and non-compliance with data processing requirements can expose enterprises to data breach, data loss and other security incidents.

As one of the first law firms in China to advise on data security and compliance issues, King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has always focused on guiding clients through the entire life cycle of data development and utilization, in compliance with various laws and regulations.

Over the past few years, the KWM cybersecurity, data compliance and governance team has written more than one hundred articles on artificial intelligence, data compliance and cybersecurity. We drew upon 54 of these articles, published between 2016-2020, in order to provide a holistic summary of this evolving area of the law.
